examining the antiquity of civilization as we welcome my guest Mr. Graham Hancock Mr. Hancock it is truly an honor server welcome to Atrix be fixed as you Mr. Hancock you are that John the card of archaeology and the Graham Hancock of psychedelics and consciousness exploration but for the people that may not know that already can you very briefly introduce you are and what you do okay well talk writer is the be in writing books for many many many years I used to be a generalist I was involved in the current to fast for a long time but in the 1980s I stumbled across an archaeological mystery while reporting on current events in Ethiopia that mystery can send the ark of the covenant which is in Raiders of the lost on weights Ethiopia claims to possess and the colors of the time dismissed to the holy do in Craig’s arrest they are but I kept coming across to that information Berlin’s alternate them and gradually I got drawn into an investigation of this mystery which was decidedly had nothing to do with current as and was old do with the agent call and that ended up in 1992 with my first book of historical mystery called a sign and seal the quest for the lost Ark of the covenant and by then I was disenchanted with the present and intrigued by the cost and by the untold stories of the cost and I went on to write what is probably my best known bookable cold fingerprints of the Gauls was published the 1995 and much to my surprise it was a huge show worldwide sensation and it sold millions of copies I had expected this to happen to talk and it resulted in the ferocious academic class how dare this generalist claim that might be a forgotten episode in human history how dad he suggests that they might’ve been a lost civilization more than 12,000 years ago historians an archaeologist were outraged I think not so that I’d written the book the book being a success and has attracted public attention so I had to deal with that backlash which was as unexpected as the success of the book itself but it will be a thing or two about this game about how ferocious academics are independent defending that tests ended how difficult it is to propose effectively a new paradigm in any area of of science worried I was posing a new paradigm about the cost of following on from that I I did write a series of good books exploring and elaborating on the lost civilization issue in the entity 2000 I became interested in the mysteries of consciousness and particularly shaman is a and and and and of the fundamental mystery of the book that became supernatural meetings with the ancient teachers of mankind was published in 2005 the fundamental mystery was incredible similarities in rock and cave art going back tens of thousands of years all around the world amongst cultures that were not supposed to have been in contact with one another and as I investigated the matter it became clear that I was looking at shamanistic arts that this was the work of ancient shamans chauvinism the essence of shaman is amiss the province state altered deeply altered states of consciousness and in these deeply altered states of consciousness shamans in remote antiquity were experiencing visions which they depicted on the cave walls and I I then realized that I could get out of my armchair I hate on Jack research I like to get out in the field wrote my sleeves of them I need to go scuba diving for 70 is all do that as I did for my book underworld in this case I need to go take psychedelics in the office jungle so I went down to the opposite jungle about my first 11 experiences with ayahuasca vine of souls the sacred brew of vandalism and I immediately understood exactly where those upper Paleolithic artists were coming from because I was seeing the kind of things that they depicted on and then the mystery just got deeper and deeper into it because I began to wonder whether whether these visions these experiences were just you know quote unquote hallucinations or whether there was something much more substantial to them some really deep mystery of human consciousness here the possibility that we might be when shooting the receiver wavelength of the brain and and encountering other levels of reality and the intelligence conscious entities that that inhabit them and so this is the parallel interest of mine for many years since 2005 of their last but not least since I do regard myself fundamentally as a writer in in tandem with my nonfiction works for which I’m best known I also written a number of the novels really of the fantasy adventure genre which combined my interests in altered states of consciousness and in historical mystery you have now do you think that something has been guiding this process for you and perhaps maybe this is a mission that your know I I don’t I don’t feel I’m guided I feel that I I I feel that some I have a natural curiosity and I have the opportunity because some of my books of been successful to choose to investigate the areas in which my curiosity sends me I don’t feel I’m on a mission I I feel it’s it’s it’s it’s it’s my job to raise questions to look at alternative points of view seriously not in the not enough in a flimsy you you know naïve kind of way but but thoroughly and index and and to consider whether these alternative points of view have merits we we live in a society that’s actually it appears to be very free and open but in fact in many ways it’s very structured and control there is a that there is there a kind of mind control that operates in our society and that mind control is based around certain paradigms of what reality is what the posterior is what the human purposes and I think I might my my my job I don’t see the submission might my job is to is to offer a coherently argued thoroughly documented alternative point of view and if that helps to shake other people up in and get people thinking that it means I’m doing my my job well You know when I started this podcast about a year ago I wrote down three names are so that would be in the realm of dream guests for me and your top that list so I said to say I’m pretty happy to have you here so it’s back a little bit the first time you were in Egypt that was for writing science you just a guess it was a are you needed to go to Egypt to the story of the sign of the seal which was that of the quest for the lost Ark of the covenant of began for me in Ethiopia which as I told you was a country that I was initially traveling in as as a journalist is a current affairs reporter began for me back about but with Ethiopian claim to possess the arc of the specific claim that the covenant rests in the the the little century chapel beside the Cathedral of St. Mary of Zion in acts of in Tigre province in northern Ethiopia once I began to investigate this thoroughly became necessary to go to other countries as well as Ethiopia became necessary to go to Israel of course since the arc of the covenants you know ended up and finally disappeared from the Temple of Solomon in Israel and it became necessary to go to Egypt why because the Ark of the covenant cannot be separated from the figure of Moses the Old Testament figure of Moses and Moses as we know was circling to the Bible at any rate was reared in the household of the Pharaoh any Egypt affair was probably premises the second and and therefore I needed to understand the Egyptian backgrounds to Moses and whether that has have any effect on the mysteries of the Ark of the covenant the Muslim first took me to Egypt’s and then took me to places in Egypt for example the Temple of Karnak in upper Egypt where you can see processions of priests carrying off like objects on their shoulders it took me to the island of elephant Teaneck near Aswan further south in Egypt where where at one point there was a fully fledged Jew Jewish Temple and this is mystery because it was routing parallel to the Temple of Solomon it was blatant of the Temple of Solomon of and and of course it took me to the Pyramids of Giza and and I found myself one one morning standing in front of the great pyramid of Giza this gigantic structure looming above me 480 feet high you know city negative footprints 6,000,000 tons of incredibly precisely engineered stone and hands them I just thought wow you know what the hell is this and when I started to you know my curiosity was was tickled and I I began similar academic saying about this of what it was saying about it was just incredibly dismissive and stupid in to do justice to the power and that of the majesty of the difficulty of this thing of in creating something like that is not easy and they were in other was saying this is what be one of the very fast gigantic stretches ever created needed so where was the background to whether they when these guys led to do this on that’s really what set me off all that the track of considering the possibility that there might of been a lost civilization that we might be seeing a legacy of high wisdom and knowledge present in Egypt and manifested in the parents seeming this is by no means an easy topic to tackle the origins of civilization and perhaps this this myth but you were your theories start with this flood myth and highly sundry groundwork and you researched many aspects of these historic floods there masking effects of hiding the civilizations what was the result of that research in locating these underwater civilizations well okay I I mean if if you beginning to consider the possibility of a lost civilization before history began you have to consider the agency by which that civilization became lost and that inevitably puts you inevitably puts you in cataclysmic territory you you you don’t civilization doesn’t simply disappear something has to happen to it and and I began to look at the that the there’s a lot of information anyway it even in ancient Egypt for example which points back to a remote. Thousands of years earlier on that’s how I found myself looking at the icing which sets in the hundred and 25,000 years ago and reached its maximum extent about 21,000 years ago is difficult for people today did to conceive of how different the world was you had icecaps that were 2 miles deep covering almost the whole of the northern half of North America stretching as far south as the New York State and and and and covering most of mold in your mountain high icecaps in areas that the densely populated and productive today they they were completely uninhabited at the time they were ice deserts of those 2 miles of ice sitting on top of the land sea level as a result was simply lower seat was 400 feet lower than it is today why because all the water in those icecaps have evaporated up out of the oceans form and rate them as as rain and frozen that is as ice the global climate is very different than from the climate we have today so so the world looked very different in that you Jerry is that I now underwater because when all that ice melted water went back into the oceans and sea levels rose by 400 feet huge areas that are now underwater what above wanted and would furthermore the coastal areas have been the most desirable lands on that and it seemed to be upset that archaeology was forming a picture of the human cost without really taking account of the 10,000,000 mi.² of land about the size of Europe and China together that were flooded at the end of the Ice Age bit good and and furthermore the meltdown of the Ice Age was the cataclysmic there was a slow process between about 21,000 and 12,000 years ago profound 812,900 years ago and then we have it would have a series of cataclysmic events that occurred as a particular window between 12,000 811,600 years ago when it just goes into a kind of text all the extinction level event and this was not be taken into account by historians of Toledo felt that this was prior to the story of human civilization little human civilizations have begun to emerge often that and and I was contemplating the possibility that as older legends and myths of the world suggest that there was an episode of high civilization before that and that therefore it’s it’s had been wiped from human memory Jordan those cataclysms around 12,000 years ago so this ultimately took me on seven years of scuba diving expeditions looking at the structures of underwater about 220 feet underwater we need to go deeper but 120 feet is about as far as you can go with normal scuba gear otherwise you have to get into technical diving I never did that I became pretty good it said that scuba diving but I never went below hundred and 20 feet and in depth with mixed gases and technical diving equipment and so but but again it was a it was a matter of putting myself into the subject taking taking the risks of going to see whether there was indeed a thing mysterious underwater and you can be absolutely sure there is there is a great deal of mysterious structures underwater and often local fishing communities and local divers know about them so I I have local people in India in the Bahamas in the Mediterranean in the Pacific to help me find the structures that I was looking wanted you would you find on the well off the northwest coast of India there’s two huge cities underwater in the Gulf Bad to depth of 40 m more than hundred 20 feet southeast coast of India mahogany Purim and that the heart again that hundred to 10 feet underwater enormous man-made structures Japan young agouti the whole area of structures cut from solid rock which have were lost above water more than 12,000 years ago fit in with the Japan of Okinawa giant stone circles hundred and 10 feet underwater off of Kerala optically an island called Kojima in the mid-Pacific in my dream easier you have a mysterious structure above water cold Mountain Meadow but if you go underwater there you find it continues down and just goes all the way down to the bottom of the bay another huge columns some standing some form of this has been taken account of by archaeology we we found stretches in Malta both is famous for its megalithic monuments there is huge megalithic temples and I think those temples which archaeology likes to date 50 6000 years ago are in fact much older because we found other such structures underwater in areas that were lost above watchable to 12,000 years ago is a famous dominant in Malta Colbert caught rocks of course they’re not caught ruts but there are parallel we like grooves cut into the walk of the island of Malta and these sometimes just stop at the edge of clicks but if you then go underwater there you find that they continue on the other side they continue underwater and again they go down to the maximum depth that we were able to start a scuba divers and probably a good deal beyond that so it’s really old of the world this this this phenomenon them and eventually I wrote a book about the cold underworld flooded kingdoms of the Ice Age that was published in 2002 you talked about numeric code that coincides with the longitudinal axis and the number of lost civilizations around the world and this code seems to be scattered your religious myth and lore where does this come come from and what is it point to well there there is so a phenomena so astronomical phenomena next he called the precession of the equinoxes of the something else in my research is forced me to do because the agents did it is to come to terms with astronomy and begin to understand the apparent motions of the of the heavens what the theory is this may not be the causative agent but the theory is that there is a wearable on the axis of the earth it’s rather like if you set a top spinning and leave it to spin for a while the spin will begin to decay the top begins to Walpole can you envisage that some of the top part of the top begins to transcribe a circle it is all right it seems that the earth does this and the theory is that it’s caused by the opposite gravitational pulls of the son of the moon on the earth that there may be a whole other explanation for it but in the sense that doesn’t matter what matters is the observation of the observation because the Earth is the human fat from which we observe the stars changes in the orientation of the viewing platform will result in changes in the rising and setting times of stars at different times of year and indeed in the orientations of the stars in the sky. The moving it’s the earth is moving but gives the illusion of the stars will of course all the stars are moving as well they have their own proper motion but there so distant from us that those movements are really unfold over pick periods of hundreds of thousands or millions of years precession the the wall of the x-axis creates changes in the Starfield and the observed Starfield in mushrooms of time within it every 72 years you complete a 1° shift and when when you multiply this by 360° and in a full circle you get 25,920 years this is the most what the ancients called the great year the the the. In which the stop patterns revert to their starting point that you got a grand cycle of change in the happens that operates at a very specific rate which is 1° every 72 years of us quite hard to observe 1° about the width of your finger held up to the horizon so you know a you really need many human lifetimes and accurate records to be kept to really notice this and realize that some kind of processes going on and then to go further from method to be able to predict how the Starfield will look thousands of years in the future how it looked thousands of years in the path you need a lot more observation unique science such and and this is the puzzle because the numbers related to the precession was called the precession of the equinoxes based on the number 72 whole sequence of numbers for example 72+26 is 100 and 8/2 of 108 is 5472×30 gives you 2160 it takes 2160 for the sound on the equinox to cross through one complete sign of the zodiac to 12 constellations of the zodiac by the belts are around the path of the sun and and all these numbers based on the hard copy to the system is the number 72 these numbers crop up in very ancient myths from all around the world and the myths themselves frequently describe in symbolic terms of process that is unmistakably precession this this phenomenon that we call the precession and it really fantastic study was done of this by to really talk great scholars Giorgio deceptive younger who was a professor of the history of science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology through into the 1960s and physical – and who was professor of the history of science at Frankfurt University the book is called Hamlet’s mill finally came to the conclusion that what they described as some almost unbelievable ancestor civilization thousands and thousands of years in the pumps had scientifically observed and recorded the precession have felt that it was important for some reason and had devised stories that would be cost down by word-of-mouth from generation to generation which incorporated accurate scientific knowledge of this phenomenon and and that they made the point that it really didn’t matter whether the storyteller knew what he or she was parsing all so long as they told the story true and repeated the sequence of numbers that was within the story then the information would be cost on until such a time as another civilization could arise which would be able to decode this information that’s why it’s interesting that the same sequence of numbers that we find an age myths appears in ancient monuments for example 2160 years is the time it takes for the equinox sun to process through one house of the zodiac and the did to has of the zodiac is 4320 years multiply 4320 x 10 and you get 43,200 so we have to Aust ourselves whether it’s a coincidence or whether there’s something extraordinary going on that the great pyramid is a scale model of the hemisphere of the earth on the scale of one to 43,200 in other words if you take the height of the great pyramid of multiply it by 43,200 you get the polar radius of the earth you get a printout the exact size scientific printout of the key dimension of our planet which was supposed to even be known until relatively recent times and if you measure the base perimeter of the great pyramid of multiply by the same number 43,200 which is one of those numbers banded ancient myth all around the world you get the equatorial circumference of the earth it appears that’s the great pyramid one of the things it is is a scale model of hemisphere the ethical scale of one 43,200 and therefore if that’s so and I believe it is that it’s telling us absolutely that said we are looking at the work of a high civilization so soon the I’m glad you brought it back to the pyramids because the wrote Robert of all discovery was incredibly important in Egypt Giza Pyramids lineup with a variety and in a life with the right although that does happen is about is Robert Bavaro’s discovery we arrived correlation theory is a is I believe one of the most important discoveries in the study of ancient Egypt is ever be made it’s it’s it’s up at almost as valuable as the Rosetta Stone of the deciphering of the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics because suddenly we can begin to understand what is going on first was important to know that the constellation of Orion method to the ancient Egyptians this was not just any random constellation when the ancient Egyptians looked at the constellation of Orion wish I called soft they envisaged it as the celestial figure of their deity Osiris and there’s a whole often mythology about Osiris who is a bringer of civilization to Egypt in the remote. That they call that the first time thousands of years in the in the cost and and Osiris the whole mythology of Osiris becomes linked to the to the story of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs so that each barrel of his death became identified with Osiris Orion with the constellation of Orion in the Scott and and therefore if if with saying is Robert does that the Egyptian pyramids have an intimate connection with the constellation of Orion this actually makes perfect sense because the constellation of Orion was the single most important constellation in the ancient Egyptian Scott secondly the relationship is complicated there are four narrow shots that comes up through the body of the great pyramid to from the Kings chamber and to from the Queens chamber and the two the one from the Kings chamber the southern shot from the Kings chamber targets the lowest of the three stars of the belt of Orion and southern shot of the Queens chamber targets the star serious which the ancient Egyptians associated with the goddess Isis the call sort of Osiris but the interesting thing is that that targeting of those stars once we can we can look at ancient skies now with modern computer programs we can see exactly how they looked exactly the height declension of each of the stars in the sky at any period of the possibly wish and the alignment of the shots of the great pyramid with serious and with the stars of Orion’s belt is verifiably set in the e-book of around 2500 BC which is exactly the book that Egyptologists say the pyramids were built so it’s intriguing but it back in itself does not rewrite history and is a second observation that Robert made him and and but Robinson I went ultrafine together in a book called the message of the Sphinx which which is different in this is that when you look at the 10 of the three pyramids on the ground and their relationship to north and south they are actually imaging on the ground in three guy mentions the three belt stars of the constellation of Orion Noth as they looked in 2500 BC and as they looked in 10,500 BC 12 1/2 thousand years ago] met cataclysmic episode when the Ice Age was melting down and then the project that we went talk to explore together concerns the great Sphinx of Giza we stands very close to the great pyramid the great Sphinx is oriented perfectly Julie’s it’s in the shape of a lion with a human head we think of the human head was the result of a recall being in historical times of once being a letter nine had and the great Sphinx looks at the constellation of Leo the lion its own celestial counterpart the resemblance is uncanny again in that remote the book of 10,500 BC at the spring equinox when the sun rises perfectly Julie’s deadline with the gaze of Sphinx so two messages appeared to be to be being sent by the Giza monument one monuments one speaks of the e-book of 2500 BC which is interesting but not controversial in the other speaks of the e-book unequipped much earlier at 8000 years earlier 10,500 BC 12 1/2 thousand years ago and we think this is the book that the ancient Egyptians called that Be the first time and and them so we have a nuanced site here there is much about the site Giza that can reliably and consistently be attributed to the pharaohs of historical Egypt but there are stretches of that site we think the base the base platforms of the three pyramids of which the pyramids relate to build completed we think the megalithic temples and Giza the so-called Bali and more tree temples and of course we think the great Sphinx and hear Robert shocks work on the geology of the Sphinx annulled weathering patterns of the Sphinx which show that it was exposed to thousands of years of heavy rainfall comes into play that these factors suggest to us that some of the monuments of the Giza Plateau not only commemorate a date that is 12 1/2 thousand years in the cost but actually were created that and if they were created that and then a history when he has a problem because that is not supposed that time 12 1/2 thousand years ago our ancestors are supposed to have been simple and together as and without the competence or the will or the motivation to create gigantic megalithic architectural structures and and when these two ideas are brought together the the idea of the syndication induced weathering of the Sphinx that was put forward by John Anthony West initially and then by Prof. Robert chakra Boston University and the idea of the stellar alignments of the as above so below to do is being replicated by the monuments on the ground which also speaks of the remote people when these two ideas together you begin to you begin to sense that something about Giza is fantastically old and deeply deeply mysterious this troubled Egyptologists a lot bigger like it because it was a well argued thoroughly presented a group of of theories and they they sought to dismiss it and they said you know how could that how could the Sphinx possibly be 12 1/2 thousand years old our ancestors were hunter gatherers that is the kind of circular logic that they going to they take that reference frame as though it’s a fact and then use it to throw away any contradictory evidence how could the Sphinx possibly be 12/2 thousand years old as no other large-scale monument any of anywhere in the world that that’s an that that is that the old and and that’s why the much more recent discovery of a gigantic megalithic site in Turkey called Kopecky was deliberately buried by whichever mysterious people made it that’s sealed like a Time Capsule and left untouched for more than 10,000 years before the discovery of Québec detecting is so important because the dating about site is absolutely reliable it is being done by the German archaeological Institute there is no question of the intrusion of later organic materials you can’t date still you can only take organic materials with cop think that site is to definitively in the range of 12,000 years old is 7000 years older than Stonehenge and the the whole site so far only a tiny fraction of it is been excavated the rest is being the imaged by ground penetrating radar the whole site is about 50 times larger than Stonehenge is astonishingly sophisticated it is 12,000 years old and now the argument about the Sphinx has to be taken up again Egyptology cannot dismiss it because there are other sites nonwovens another one in Indonesia that I’ve done a couple of resurgence to called good about which again looks like it’s 12,000 or more years old and I think we are poised on the edge of our own paradigm shift where more and more and you evidence comes into play which cannot be explained by the previous theory of history in which requires the new theory of history requires us to recognize the possibility that there has actually been a lost civilization that it’s disappearance is connected to the cataclysms at the end of the last Ice Age that there were survivors and that they sought the cost of their knowledge that to the future that’s why I’ve just spent the last three years researching and writing a completely new book called magicians of the Gauls which is the sequel to fingerprints of the gods is not a revised edition of think it’s because it’s a completely new book 500 pages long filled with new information from front to back because what happened in the last 20 years and think of Prince was published 20 years ago is it just a mass of exciting new information is in marriage much of which is not yet in the public domain and in magicians of the Gauls I seek to put this in the public domain of there is some information on magicians of the Gauls all my website if you go to www.grahamcrackerCoke.com you’ll see from the opening page an immediate link to magicians of the Gauls it’s being published in Britain on 10 September in America the publication date is presently listed as fabric 2016 but I’m optimistic that the publishers will bring back forward to November and that book is already available for preorder on Amazon.com and my feeling is that you know Robert shocking and Robert Duval also working on a book looking specifically at the Sphinx and I think that what what is happening is that whole group of us who work in this field 20 years ago and who were radically attacked for considering this extraordinary possibility that we are now reaching a point where are the case that we may which was ridiculed at the time is being vindicated by by new evidence I think it’s a very exciting moment topic it raises questions over everything that we imagine human civilization to be about when we acknowledge that either through misinformation misdirection the history of our species has been your hidden from us through stupidity or whatever it is can you say that this is some level of spiritual warfare while I consider that possibility because of my other interests which are my interested in shaman is him and the and altered states of consciousness which have convinced me that reality is much more complicated than you know all five senses might lead us to believe that we are immersed in an invisible reality and that reality has impact of an influence upon us whether we like it or not this is the whole essence of of shaman is that the notion of the spirit world which which influences and impacts the human race and and shamans of those amongst us who seek to be proactive about this and to enter into the realm of spirits and negotiate with spirits all their own on their own terms and and just as there is good and evil in the material realm in the physical world that you know you and I live our daily lives in that the whole framework of shaman is him will also tell you that there is good and evil in the in the special and that’s that there are Dr. negative entities out there whose sole purpose is to delude and mislead the human race and moving away from from shaman is him if you go back to the ancient system called Gnosticism you will find that the same idea prevails that another not Gnosticism was stamped out by the Christian church in the early centuries of the Christian era horrendous persecutions were unleashed upon those who call themselves Gnostics who believed in a revealed knowledge that that came through visionary experience the Gnostics absolutely made use of psychedelic mushrooms in their investigations of the nature of of reality but enough of the Gnostic material has survived thanks largely to a library of Gnostic texts in fact that refer to you combine you can buy the Gnostic taxon members and it’s called the maximally library edited by James and M Robinson than I commodity texts at the kind of the persecution of the Gnostics a group of Gnostics who lived in southern Egypt near the Temple of been better took the decision to bury an entire library of that texts in the pottery jars in the sand and they remained hidden back from the fourth century A.D. until 1945 when they were found by child’s obeisance since been translated and I would urge anybody who’s interested in the mysteries of existence to go and get than I commodity library James M Robinson addition the full translation of the Gnostic text and it’s an utter revelation they tend everything upside down I mean from the Gnostic point of view we had been deleted for the lost 2000 years the entity that we have been taught to worship as as God Christians and Muslims Jews the God of Abraham we all supposedly or are taught to worship the same entity when they call them different names from the Gnostic point of view this entity this creature is not a gauntlet whole he sees it he’s a demon he’s the the the he’s a contender he’s an imposter keys persuaded us to believe that he is gone to worship him it he’s got a huge overblown ego she’s extremely jealous he persuades human beings constantly common hurt one another is hope that this is to keep us in darkness and prevent us from realizing the divine spark within is so you know this is a profoundly revolutionary system of ideas that you can understand why the Christians that the typically in the form of the Roman Catholic Church was so vigorous in the persecution of the Gnostics and and and sought to stop them out because once you really stop to think about Gnostic ideas is what the Gnostics essay don’t look at what these guys say you know Christianity Judaism Islam veil tool could talk of peace and love look at what they do look at what they actually do look at the burnings at the stake looking at look at the stoning to death of of women look at the the behavior that is encourage look at division the hatred the fee at the suspicion that multiplies around the world connected to these three religions and you might begin to wonder whether the Gnostics onto in fact right whether we being misled by some demonic force for the last 2000 years that has cleverly one 2000 years this is the God of Abraham we talking about here that has cleverly convinced us that it is galled when in fact it’s a it’s a demon on how more effectively could a demon operate them the bats and this is not me saying this this is the whole essence of Gnosticism and of the revelation of Gnosticism is really worth looking into not not saying whether there right or wrong I leave that up to the to others to decide each of us in our own way looking at the story of the world but the notion that there might be.spiritual forces at work they the Gnostics envisage evil angels that they call our call which mingle amongst men and mislead us into all manner of crimes and actions that are hostile to the nature of the soul that even look like human beings there might be some of our politicians actually and you know that I it is a framework of analysis of the human condition that certainly is worth considering and taking seriously given the state of the world that we find ourselves in today yeah while Mr. Hancock truly an honor to speak with you but when what do you feel a shift in our in consciousness are of this paradigm within a culture that subsist with materialism television drunkenness what would a shift in consciousness look like how how can we recognize that this is occurring often when you’re in the middle of something is difficult to see it but I would say we are in the middle of the shift in consciousness now I think it’s happening all around the world the old paradigm of which the historical paradigm is a caught is still very powerful but it isn’t any longer it doesn’t any longer have a monopoly there is such a spread of information know the the the Internet has had on unforeseen consequences of people are able to communicate with one another directly without going through the the medium of the big media you know we we can be a direct contact with one another we can form communities of ideas it increasingly notions that we had we had talked to honor and revere such as patriotism seemed to become observed that the patient is amazing the lost refuge of the scoundrel of droll why should we feel especially loyal to a fellow human being just because they happen to be born under the same bloody government or of the same piece of land is us was so special about that an accident of birth why should we why should we pay our loyalty on the white what where why we not willing to recognize that we are all
