NOTE: In the middle of the interview, when expressing her concern over how otherwise well people will survive – who have lost jobs and don’t have money – Marianne said that people should receive a $2000/week stipend. Marianne wants to clarify that she realizes she misspoke and intended to say $2000/month.
Marianne Williamson is an author, teacher and Ex-Presidential Candidate who not only wants to solve the material issues of society, but to also the spiritual.
After reading A Course in Miracles, she soon taught her own insights on the text to groups of people. This led to the writing of her first book A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles. An appearance on Oprah would propel that book to be the 5th largest selling book in America that year.
Since the release of her first book, Marianne has written over ten others, four of which have been New York Times bestsellers. Her most recent book, A Politics of Love, addresses the growing fear and confusion that is currently embedded in American politics. Marianne entered the Presidential race for the 2020 election at the end of 2018, withdrawing in January 2019 to avoid detracting from the other progressive candidates who were already leading the polls.
Marianne is the founder of Project Angel Food, a meals on wheels delivery service that helps home- bound AIDS suffers get the food they need. She is also Co-founder of The Peace Alliance, a body that wants to make peace-building an international priority.
